S.H.E. is a GREEN school. Please bring in your used ink and toner cartridges, rechargeable batteries and small electronics like mobile phones. We are working with Office Depot to help our planet. They also give us school supplies for our recycling efforts.

Sylvania Heights Elementary is proud to introduce our new S.T.E.A.M. program. We are also expanding our Extended Foreign Language (EFL) program. Want to Stock up on Supplies Early? Here are generic supply lists for you to get an early start and take advantage of back to school sales. Please remember that teachers may request additional supplies once school starts. Supplies will need to be replenished as needed.

Parents and students who wish to start receiving automated email subscriptions can do so via the Electronic Gradebook link in the parent or student portals. cr Color your life with rich vocabulary. Write down unfamiliar words, look them up, and try to use them in conversations with friends and family.

Learn as many new words as you can over the summer.



LINKS TO LEARNING- Keep those skills sharp and log in to the STUDENT PORTAL for Ticket to Read, Reading Plus, & more.

Students in grades 3-5 should be completing a minimum of 3 Reading Plus sessions per week and FCAT Explorer should be completed weekly. Individual teachers may have additional requirements. These assignments should be done even if there is no school that day. Keep your skills sharp!

Important Reminder: There will be no school site adult supervision before 7:30AM. Between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM, students should report to the cafeteria. Breakfast is free for ALL students.
