There are two Parental Information and Resource Centers (PIRC) funded by the U.S. Department of Education available to parents in Florida.  One at the University of South Florida in Tampa and the other in Clearwater associated with the Family Network on Disabilities of Florida (FND).  PIRC’s mission is to help families and schools work together to increase parental involvement in education so children are better prepared to enter school and achieve academically.
